The 3 days Mount Sabyinyo hiking tour in Uganda will take you for one of best hikes in the Virunga Mountains and one of the most popular mountain hiking tours in Uganda. Mount Sabyinyo is part of a chain of 8 volcanoes making up the Virunga Mountains that are spread along the borders of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mount Sabyinyo is unique because it is located at the center of the volcano chain hence offering incredible views of the mountains, and it is shared by all the three countries i.e., situated at the point where all three borders meet giving hikers a rare chance to step in all the countries at the top. The volcano also has a unique shape, with 3 peaks and conquering all the three peaks is an incredible adventure. In Uganda, Sabyinyo is one of the three Virunga volcanoes that make up the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Kisoro
Your driver guide will pick you from the Hotel/Entebbe and then you start your scenic view to Mgahinga National Park. You will stop at the Equator for some pictures and continue to Mbarara where you will have lunch. Later you will enroute to Kisoro, and head to your lodge next or in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Early Morning Hiking of Mt. Sabinyo
Today, you will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park headquarters. You will start the hike to the top of Mount Sabinyo, a Virunga Volcano that you can only access its summit from the park. The summit of the mountain lies at 3,645 meters (11,959 ft), with 3 peaks. This mountain marks the intersection of the borders of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda, and Uganda. The slopes of Mt. Sabinyo are a habitat for the critically endangered mountain gorillas.
You will see the rugged nature of the terrain along the Sabinyo slopes that has many craters with sharp ridges. The Mount Sabinyo hike is a one-day hike involving 4 hours to the summit and 4 hours back and this depends on the pace and weather conditions. Walking sticks are provided for free meanwhile the porters are available for hire. You will go through vegetation ranges from the bamboo zone between 2400 – 2800m. After ascending to its park, have some rest and your packed lunch. Start descending the mountain. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe to end your 3 Days Mountain Sabinyo Hiking
After breakfast and relaxation at the lodge, you will bid farewell to the lodge and this beautiful part of the world. You then drive back to Kampala/Entebbe with multiple stopovers like Kabale, Mbarara and at the Equator. On arrival in Kampala, you will be dropped off at the Hotel or Airport to end the 3 Days Sabinyo hike Adventure safari.
