3 Days Kidepo Valley Flying Wildlife Safari will fly you to Kidepo Valley National Park (KVNP), the most isolated National Park in Uganda, lying in the far north-east frontier region bordering South Sudan. River Kidepo serves as an oasis in the semi-desert which hosts over 86 mammal species including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, bat-eared foxes, caracal and numerous arid environment-adapted antelope as well as almost 500 bird species. Of note, KVNP is the only area in Uganda in which cheetahs can be seen. You will have the opportunity to sight these animals on several game drives. In addition, you will have a cultural experience visiting the Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. While there, you will meet up with the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them and get to know the challenges they are facing living in this hard landscape as well as knowing the history of their people.
Day 1: Fly to Kidepo Valley National Park
Today you will wake up early morning for breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, and then drive to Kajjansi airfield for your flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will then be arriving at Apoka Airstrip within 2 and a half hours by air. Upon which you will be driven to your Lodge for check-in and have your lunch meal.
After your lunch, you may opt for an evening game drive for wildlife sightings of the Narus River Valley. Alternatively, if you sleep at Apoka Lodges, you can see the animals from the lodge balcony. While having this game drive, you will have an amazing opportunity to watch elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and if lucky lions, leopards and cheetahs. Later you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive in Kidepo valley National Park and community experience
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Narus valley for the game drive where you will see a number of animals. The valley is home to a number of animals like the lions, elephants, Reedbucks, Jackson hartebeest, oribi, Klipspringer, buffaloes, zebras, kudus, Oryx, caracal, Bat eared fox, hyenas, Cheetahs, giraffe, bushbucks, water bucks, Uganda Kob, bush pig, side-striped jackals, warthogs, the dikdik, among many others. You will continue to Kanangorok hot spring where you can see the Ostriches.
Later in the afternoon, you will have a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. While there, you will meet up with the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them and get to know the challenges they are facing as well as knowing the history of the place. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting facts about the community. After this amazing cultural experience, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive and fly back to Entebbe or Kajjansi Airfield.
On this beautiful morning, you will have your breakfast at the lodge and head for a morning game drive. You may be in position to see animals like Elephants, Common Zebra, Buffalo, Bohor Reedbuck, Waterbuck and Kongoni, and Spotted Hyena, Leopard as well as Lion. Later return to the lodge for lunch, check out after and drive to Apoka Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi airfield.
