This 6 Days Safari will take you to Murchison Falls National Park and Lake Mburo National Park for amazing wildlife viewing. Murchison Falls National Park has a very diverse profile of wildlife and is the only national park that gives you access to all the big 5 game animals in Uganda. In the park we find the world’s strongest water fall called Murchison falls or Kabalega falls that flows on Victoria Nile dividing the park into two parts and it flows into lake Albert. You will continue to Lake Mburo National Park, in the south-western part of Uganda along Masaka-Mbarara Highway. It is home to the giraffes, zebras, birds and so much to give you a memorable wildlife experience.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Airport pick up and optional City tour.
On this day, you will be warmly welcomed at the airport by one of our professional tour guides. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check in, have lunch and relax. You may go for a city tour to see how busy Kampala is and also buy some few locally made items like Ugandan branded Jerseys, huts and other items that you may love at the Kampala craft market. You will later head back to the hotel in the evening to have dinner and overnight stay. Since you will have a night in Kampala, you may opt to have a night out in one of the clubs in Kampala to explore the night life in Kampala, Uganda’s capital.

Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, then Murchison falls National Park
You will be picked up from the hotel early in the morning after your breakfast and set off for Murchison Falls National Park. On your way to the park, you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. In Nakasongola District, near Nakitoma Village is where you will get a moment to track these beautiful animals. The white Rhinos became extinct in Uganda’s national parks in 1980, but conservationists and the government through Uganda wildlife authority took the few that had remained and transferred them to the sanctuary for better protection. There are about 18 rhinos in the sanctuary at the moment and there is a plan to reintroduce them in Uganda’s game parks in the future.
Lunch will be at the sanctuary then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will head for a short evening game drive to see the sunset with a number of animals. Later after the endless videos and pictures, you will head to your lodge for dinner and rest till the next day.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and an afternoon Boat Cruise.
After an early morning breakfast, you will leave for an early morning game drive looking for the early morning riser. As you head out for the game drive, you will be in position to spot animals like the buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, Rothschild giraffes, Oribi, Kobs and waterbucks together with some bird species along the way with some feeding together with the big animals.
Later you will return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation as you wait for afternoon boat cruise. You will head for the boat at Paara cruising point for a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. This Boat ride on Victoria Nile goes for 3 hours and you will be able to see some Nile crocodiles, numerous hippos, as well as various bird species.
After your boat cruise experience, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Top of the falls visit and transfer to back to Kampala
On this day, you have breakfast and head to the top of the falls where you will view it from above. At the top of Murchison Falls “also known as Kabalega Falls”, the Nile forces its way through a gap in the rocks that is only 8 meters wide, and tumbles 43 meters before flowing westward into Lake Albert.
Later you will drive out of the park through the southern gate with a stopover in Masindi town for lunch. You will then embark on your journey to Kampala reaching in the evening at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and an evening game drive.
On this beautiful day or your safari, you will have your breakfast and drive through various towns like Masaka with multiple stopovers for refreshments. You will have a stopover at the Equator before you proceed to the park.
On arrival to Lake Mburo National Park, you will check in by having a briefing with your driver guide or park ranger, and then begin on your afternoon game drive.
While on your afternoon game drive, expect to see a number of animals like zebras, Giraffes, impalas, elands, Topi, antelopes among many others. The park is also known to have soon nocturnal animals, and if you have a night game drive, you may have a chance to even see the rare leopard in the park.
You will also see some bird species since during the game drive for example: Papyrus gonolek, Grey crowned crane, Saddle-billed stork, African fish eagle, Black-bellied bustard, Greater painted-snipe, Yellow-rumped tinker bird, African finfoot among others.
You will later return to your hotel or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning walking safari and transfer back to Entebbe.
After an early breakfast at the lodge/ hotel, you will go for a morning walking safari in the park, accompanied by an armed ranger guide. You will have an opportunity to see a lot of animals like the Zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, buffaloes, Topis, elands, waterbucks and bushbucks among many other animals. At very rare cases, you may witness a leopard while on a game drive, though many have never seen them there.
On addition to this you will see a good number of bird species since the park is home to over 350 bird species including African wattled lapwing, Bare-faced go-away bird, Black-bellied bustard, Greater painted-snipe, Saddle-billed stork, African finfoot, Papyrus gonolek, Grey crowned crane, African fish eagle, Yellow-rumped tinker bird, among many others.
You will then live this beautiful part of the world as you check out of the park and head to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator line that separates the earth into two different parts i.e, the North and Southern hemisphere. You will have your lunch here, take some pictures and buy some souvenirs, then finally drive straight to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
